2-E Fizzles

Tropical Depression 2-E fell apart about 3 hours ago as the circulation that defined it as a tropical cyclone fell apart. What will hit the Mexican coast tonight and tomorrow will be simply a large blob of tropical moisture. 5-10 inches of rain could fall, and flash floods and mudslides are still possible. The fact that the depression never made landfall is really only a technicality, since the 30 mph winds were never going to do much damage. The net effect of the rainfall will still be about the same.
