Alberto is a polite visitor

Alberto weakened again just before landfall, and came in at 12:45 PM Eastern at sparsely-populated Adams Beach, Florida with 50 mph winds. Over land, it quickly weakened to a minimal 40-mph tropical storm, which it has remained since then. Although Alberto spun off at least two tornadoes, the damage has been mostly cosmetic, with some trees and branches down, and only slight damage to buildings. Alberto also helped out by alleviating some of the drought conditions in Florida and extinguishing forest fires. A mostly pleasant stay, and he's not overstaying his welcome. Nice to meet you, Alberto! So long!
