Alberto Hybridizing

Alberto is becoming a very strange-looking storm. The strongest winds are now about 200 miles from the center, and the storm bands are very lopsided, with most clustering on the east side. Most of the storm is almost over Florida at this point. With so much asymmetry, but with the system around a warm core, Alberto may be redesignated as a subtropical storm soon, which is not entirely unusual for this early portion of the hurricane season. Regardless of the final analysis, most of Florida should get 5-10 inches of needed rain from this storm.
