Bud steals Carlotta's thunder

Outflow from Bud kept Carlotta from strengthening too much today, so she probably no longer has a good chance of reaching Category 3, or even Category 2. Basically, the upper-level air currents being thrown off by Bud caused enough shear to keep Carlotta fighting to maintain strength, rather than getting a chance to intensify. This happens often when a weaker storm encounters a stronger one. The weaker one is generally hindered, absorbed, or just plain ripped apart.
